Our Building Maintenance Company Policies

PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

First American Maintenance Co. in Houston, Texas employs only qualified operators and workmen who are skilled in the performance of their duties. Employees are also screened to determine character qualifications. Each employee will be neatly attired at all times to reflect the credibility of First American Maintenance Co. and the service they are performing.

WORK HOURS:

The schedule of work hours shall conform to the requirements of the customer. First American Maintenance Co. shall in no way interfere with the customer’s normal routine.

ALL SERVICES:
These will be performed in a workable manner according to our standard of practice.

SUPERVISION:
Our supervisors are on call 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

MATERIALS:
As Building Maintenance Contractors, we will constantly test and evaluate the products on the market to make available to your firm the latest and best materials and methods.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
First American Maintenance Co., shall be responsible for instructing its workers in safe work habits to comply with the 1970 Williams-Steiger Occupational Safety and Health Act.

INSPECTION:
All work, equipment, and supplies furnished in performance of the attached specifications shall be subject to inspection of the customer or his/her duly authorized representative.

INSURANCE:
Our personnel are fully-bonded and insured and are also covered by workers’ compensation. An insurance certificate will be provided upon request.

DAMAGE AND/OR THEFT:

Our personnel are hired on the basis of personal interview and agree to take a polygraph test if necessary. In the event a question arises concerning the guilt or innocence of employees of First American Maintenance Co., polygraph tests will be arranged. Should it be determined, as a result of the tests, that First American Maintenance Co.’s employees are responsible, the cost of the polygraph tests will be included as part of the loss for which First American Maintenance Co. is legally liable. If, however, First American Maintenance Co.’s employees are determined to be innocent, the cost of the polygraphs will be borne by the client.

HOLIDAYS:
We observe the following holidays – New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
